The story

The Model G was John Deere's large three-plow row-crop tractor, built from 1937 to 1953. It gave farmers with bigger acreages a more powerful machine than the smaller models in the range.

The design did not end with the G itself. It carried on through the 70, 720 and 730, with these later versions in production until 1961.

The G was rated at about 34 hp.
