The story
Deutz-Fahr's Series 6 arrived in 2013 as part of a renewal of the Agrotron family, and the 6185 TTV became the six-cylinder flagship of the compact-frame TTV models, sitting above the four-cylinder 6155.4, 6165.4 and 6175.4. It uses a 6.1-litre Deutz engine from the firm's former parent company, linked to the stepless TTV transmission.
A long-term test by German magazine profi followed one bought in 2019 to replace a 6190 TTV. After more than 3,100 hours the gearbox had needed no repairs at all, while the electric parking brake caused the most trouble.
The tractor is built at Lauingen in Bavaria, where the new Deutz-Fahr Land plant opened in 2017.
