The story

The Model A was a two-cylinder row-crop tractor that Deere & Company built from 1934 to 1952. It was made in a wide range of versions for different kinds of cultivation work.

The tractor was restyled in 1939, and electric starting was added in 1947. When John Deere moved to number-based model names, the A was replaced by the John Deere 60.

Its line carried on through a long series of successors, from the 620 and 630 to the 3010, 3020 and the 40-series tractors, ending with the 7610.

Did you knowThe Model A's family line runs through many later models and finally ends with the John Deere 7610.
