The story

Caterpillar introduced the Twenty-Two in 1934 as the replacement for its Twenty crawler, and built it until 1939. It was a compact tracked machine, about 108 in long and 56 in high, sold in two track gauges of 40 in and 50 in.

The wider version was ten inches wider overall and only slightly heavier, at about 6,270 lb against 6,200 lb. Two model series were made, known as the 2F and the 1J.

The tractor carried 22 US gallons of fuel.
