Lanz tractors.
Heinrich Lanz founded his agricultural machinery company in Mannheim, Germany, in 1859, and it went on to sell tractors under the Lanz name. The firm is best known for the Lanz Bulldog, a crude-oil-fuelled tractor introduced in 1921. Deere & Company took over the business and the brand in 1956, and the Mannheim factory became John Deere Works Mannheim.
