The story

New Holland launched the CR10.90 in July 2014 as part of a renamed CR range, calling it the world's first Class 10 rotary combine. It was built at the company's harvesting centre in Zedelgem, Belgium, where New Holland's combines have been developed since the Clayson era.

Two rotors 2.64 m long handle threshing and separation, fed by a 16 litre FPT engine. The 14,500 litre tank was the largest on the UK market when the machine appeared.

On 15 August 2014, near Wragby in Lincolnshire, a CR10.90 with a 13.7 m draper set a Guinness World Record by harvesting 797.656 tonnes of wheat in eight hours, peaking at 135 tonnes an hour.

Did you knowDuring its record run the CR10.90 used just 1.12 litres of fuel for every tonne of wheat it harvested.
