The story
The 3000 was part of Ford's Thousand Series, a platform designed from scratch to replace both the Dexta family in Europe and the older Hundred Series in North America. Ford introduced it in 1965, and in Europe it was at first badged Super Dexta 3000.
A short-stroke three-cylinder diesel powered it, using an inline injection pump where its bigger sisters had rotary pumps, and a petrol engine was offered where buyers wanted one. Hydraulics worked independently of the clutch, with draft and position control.
Buyers could add power steering, a differential lock, a live PTO and the Select-O-Speed powershift. The 1968 Force restyle brought new tinwork, and production ran until 1975.
