The story
The C-330 grew out of the small C-325 of 1959 and the C-328 of 1963, and went into production at the Ursus works in Warsaw in July 1967. It was deliberately simple: a two-cylinder, water-cooled diesel of just under two litres, six forward gears and a light frame that suited small Polish farms.
Over twenty years the changes were mostly cosmetic plus a stronger front axle, and most were painted orange-red, though some green ones were made in the 1970s. Thousands went to Yugoslavia, and Escorts in India assembled the related 335 in large numbers.
A revised C-330M with a new gearbox and rear axle arrived in 1986, and the line finally ended in 1993.
Did you knowA 1976 C-330 bought new and kept unused in a garage for 44 years as an investment was later offered for sale in Poland for nearly 100,000 zloty.

About these figures. 30 hp at 2,200 rpm (the model number gives the power; Koneviesti calls it SAE hp), with about 100 Nm of torque. Bore 102 mm, stroke 120 mm, water-cooled. No weight is given because sources disagree: Koneviesti gives about 1,495 kg, Auto Swiat 1,700 kg, and the later C-330M is listed at 1,675 kg.
