Nuffield tractors.
Nuffield was the tractor name of Morris Motors, called after William Morris's home village of Nuffield in Oxfordshire. Its first tractor, the Universal, appeared in 1948 from the old Wolseley works in Birmingham, painted a bright poppy orange. Morris became part of the British Motor Corporation in 1951, and production later moved to Bathgate in Scotland. After BMC merged into British Leyland, the tractors were renamed Leyland in 1969 and changed to a two-tone blue.
