David Brown tractors.
David Brown was a Huddersfield gear-making firm that entered tractors in 1936 by building the Ferguson-Brown with Harry Ferguson. After the partnership ended in 1939 it launched its own VAK1, and it went on to build tractors at Meltham Mills for half a century. American owner Tenneco brought it under Case control in the early 1970s, and the brand gave way to Case International before Meltham closed in 1988.
